There are a lot of good reasons to jailbreak your iPhone, and a lot of bad ones as well. This is the most effective, and most dangerous way to get Hulu and any Flash based programs- or any unauthorized Apple program for that matter- on your iDevice. Please note that Apple does not take kindly to people messing with their stuff *cough Gizmodo*, so undertake these hacks at your own risk! Jailbreaking Your Device So we went through and compiled a few of the easier work arounds that should get Hulu up and running on your iDevice. There are a few ways to get Hulu (or an imitation of Hulu) on your iPhone or iPad, but many of them involve a crazy amount of expertise, a lot of hacking tools, and enough technical knowledge that if you could pull it off, you probably already have. As it stands now, the only way to get a true version of Hulu on your iPhone or iPad, is to completely delete the OS and reload a different one, which kinda defeats the purpose. In other words, we’ll believe it when we not only see it, but have it, have taken it apart, and have confirmed that it works. Unfortunately it is the same headline from 2008 as it is from yesterday. Don’t believe it? Go to Google and do a search for an Hulu app on the iPhone. With Hulu often in the news today, and the demand for a Hulu app on the iPhone and iPad continuing to grow, there is still no end in sight. There is a new rumor floating around that there will soon be a Hulu app coming to the iPhone and iPad! Of course we have been hearing those same rumors for nearly two years now.

Hulu Desktop is a fantastic option for streaming movies and TV shows from your PC's desktop. The shows Hulu Desktop does have available encompass quite a wide variety and the video and sound quality are superb. This is more an issue with specific networks than it is a negative critique of the shows Hulu Desktop does have to offer, however. If you're dying to catch a repeat of your favorite CBS television show on Hulu Desktop, for example, you'll be out of luck. Another frequent user complaint is that certain networks have not allowed Hulu Desktop to show more than short clips of their episodes that range in length from 1 to 5 minutes. Each program Hulu Desktop brings you also allows you to search for related shows via a recommendations bar. If you like what you've seen, Hulu Desktop allows you to rate movies and television shows by choosing between one and five stars.

In addition, you can browse television shows specifically by the channels or networks they're shown on, as well as limit your search to full episodes. You can sort Hulu Desktop's inventory by name, date and popularity. If you're less certain, Hulu Desktop's multitude of category search options impressive. You can also search for specific programs to watch, if you know what you're looking for. If you're a returning user and were in the middle of a program the last time you closed out, your program will conveniently begin playing right where it left off. The Start Watching button will play whatever preview Hulu Desktop just showed you during your initial start-up. This is a definite benefit for people who are already hardcore web-based Hulu users. If you have an online Hulu profile already set up, you can also log into it on Hulu Desktop and the program will load any information you had saved online. Just click on one of the three buttons underneath the preview and be on your way. Fortunately, you don't even have to wait for it to be done to start browsing.
